Key Areas of Responsibility
The following will be the key areas of responsibility for Facilities Minister
Facilities Minister:
● Perform basic maintenance and light repairs, such as but are not limited to: patching and painting walls, repairing furniture, and replacing light fixtures.
● Make minor electrical and plumbing repairs that do not require a licensed professional.
● Conduct routine inspections to identify and report the need for major repairs.
● Perform routine exterior maintenance, such as pressure wash sidewalks, clearing debris, and removing palm debris.
● Move and arrange furniture, equipment, and supplies to support mission teams
● Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
● Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and breakrooms.
● Gather and empty trash and recycling bins.
● Dust furniture, fixtures, walls, and equipment.
● Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
● Clean spills and other hazards using appropriate equipment.
● Complete heavy-duty cleaning and other special projects as needed.
● Monitor and maintain a clean and organized tool & supply room.
Requirements
● Personal commitment to the mission and Christian values of Youth for Christ.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Knows Jesus Christ as Savior & Lord and shows evidence of fruits of Holy Spirit
● Is mature spiritually, mentally & emotionally
● Has an orderly home life, not dishonoring the Lord
● Participates in local church and is willing to represent YFCPR in their church
● Must be in agreement with YFCPR's Statement of Faith, believes that salvation comes through faith in Jesus
Christ alone, and have a heart for the lost
● Must have at least one year of experience in general maintenance or handyman work (painting, basic plumbing,
electrical, or carpentry).
● Must be able to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment and follow proper safety protocols at all times.
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in tropical weather conditions, and adapt to changing ministry
schedules, projects, and event setups as needed to support YFCPR’s outreach and campus programs.
Spiritual responsibilities
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth For Christ PR is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth For Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth For Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
● Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
● Spend time regularly in devotion, prayer, and worship individually.
● Participate in and occasionally lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship with the YFCPR team.
● Teach and preach from the Holy Bible, accurately handling Biblical truth.
● Model empathy, humility and care for all people.
● Demonstrate a humble and teachable spirit.
● Be active in a local church.
YFCPR reporting structure
Direct Report - National Director of YFCPR.
Terms and condition
The following items depict expectations during the term:
● Adhere to all policies & procedures put in place by YFCPR.
● Attend weekly staff meetings.
● Complete weekly Staff Report & Ministry Update via JotForm before Mondays at 10 am.
● Complete required YFCPR staff training & attend all YFCPR volunteer trainings.
● Represent YFCPR at local events as needed.
Fundraising Responsibilities
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFCPR. These activities will include but are not limited to extending invitations to fundraising events, recruiting personal circle of influence YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
